Kerrie Shaw, Cultural Collections Management Registrar (Digitisation) for Newcastle Libraries and Chris Redman, Conservator Variable Media from the Powerhouse Museum, will discuss the factors and points to be considered when deciding on whether to digitise in-house or send out to external vendors. Chris will discuss the finer points on audio visual digitisation outsourcing; what to look for and what questions to ask when choosing a vendor.
